RELOCATABLE BASE FOR ELEVATED POWER RAILS AND METHOD OF DEPLOYMENT

A work machine (100) includes an electric engine (102), a battery operably connected to the electric engine (102), traction devices (104) configured to cause movement of the work machine (104) along a ground surface when powered by the electric engine (102), and an arm (110) supported by a frame (103) of the work machine (100). The arm (110) is configured to extend away from the work machine (100), and to convey electrical energy to the work machine (100) during a movement of the work machine (100) along the ground surface. The work machine (110) also includes a trailing arm (116) connected to the arm (110), and a contactor (118) connected to the trailing arm (116). While the arm (110) is extended away from the work machine (100), the contactor (118) is configured to contact a surface of a power rail (108) to form an electrical connection with the power rail (108).
