The invention relates to a sectional gate, in particular for load carriers in freight traffic, with a gate leaf (1) composed of articulated panels (2) which are connected in a pivotally movable manner by means of screw-on straps (3) and are guided in lateral running rails (4). The panels (2) have a convex profile section (12) on their upper narrow side, to which a step-shaped shoulder (13) adjoins on the inside of the gate leaf. On their lower narrow side, the panels (2) have a rib (14) which, when the gate leaf is in the closed state, engages in the step-shaped shoulder (13) on the upper narrow side of the adjacent panel. The screw-on straps (3) have a pivot arm (15) which is pivotably arranged between two side flanges (16) of a bracket (17) and is connected to the bracket (17) by an axis (18). According to the invention, the panels (2) consist of extruded hollow profiles (21) which have a plurality of chambers (20) defined by cross-webs (19), wherein the rib (14) on the lower narrow side of the panels (2) is formed as a single-walled projection of the hollow profile (21) and wherein the corresponding step-shaped shoulder (13) on the upper narrow side of the panels (2) is formed into the hollow profile (21).
