A curve-fitting technique is applied to the received sensing signal for filtering thereof to attenuate the noise component, the filtering comprising, during a first one of the plurality of the control cycles, asymmetrically filtering the sensing signal received during the first control cycle, thereby generating filtered data, and, during a second control cycle subsequent to the first control cycle, symmetrically filtering the sensing signal received during the first control cycle, thereby generating corrected data.",
