"textContent": "To create a fuel cell system which has a fuel-lean exhaust stream so that the fuel cell system can be used in particular in closed spaces, it is proposed that the fuel cell system comprises two or more fuel cell devices, wherein each fuel cell device comprises a fuel supply for supplying a fuel stream to an anode side of the fuel cell device, an anode exhaust line for discharging anode exhaust gas from the anode side of the fuel cell device, an oxidant supply for supplying an oxidant stream to a cathode side of the fuel cell device and a cathode exhaust line for discharging cathode exhaust gas from the cathode side of the fuel cell device, wherein two or more fuel cell devices are coupled to one another or can be coupled to one another in such a manner that by means of an anode exhaust line of a first fuel cell device, the anode exhaust gas generated in this first fuel cell device can be supplied via the fuel supply of a second fuel cell device as a fuel stream of this second fuel cell device.",
