The invention relates to an electrical cable (300) for transporting an electrical signal, said cable (300) comprising: - at least one conductive core (102) for transporting said electrical signal, - at least one earth shield (302), said shielding layer, and - at least one electrically insulating layer (106) separating said conductive core (102) from said at least one shielding layer (302); characterized in that, over at least one portion (304, 306) of said cable (300), the shielding layer (302) is produced by winding, around said insulating layer, at least one electrical conductor. It also relates to equipment fitted with such an electrical cable, in particular railway equipment.
