SUPPORT AND RETENTION ASSEMBLY FOR A PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A support and retention assembly (5) for a portable electronic device (12) has a support member (6) with a front surface (7) which defines a rest surface; the support member (6) is connected to a structure (2) of a dashboard (1) so as to able to be moved between a retracted position and an extended position, in which it is locked by means of releasable locking devices (25,16); the assembly is provided with a rest element (42) which projects from the front surface (7) at a lower end of the support member (6) and a clamp which is arranged over the rest element (42) and may rotate upwards about a horizontal axis (36) starting from a stowed position, in which at least part of the clamp (35) is housed in a seat (33) made in the front surface (7).
