Using the cut-out portion to provide protection for the head of an occupant increases the utilization rate of a material for making an air bag. In addition, the height of the airbag curtain is relatively large only at the cut-out portion, and is relatively small at the remaining positions, thereby reducing the volume of the air bag.",
