The FCA system includes: a sensor unit to sense a situation in front of a subject vehicle; a collision avoidance logic adjuster configured to adjust a target selection condition for selecting an oncoming vehicle having a risk of collision based on forward situation data; a collision avoidance determiner configured to select the oncoming vehicle by applying the adjusted target selection condition and determine a collision risk value; and a collision avoidance controller configured to automatically control braking or steering of the subject vehicle when the collision risk value is greater than or equal to a preset value.",
