A vehicle impact-absorbing member (11) has a columnar wood member (21) and a hollow cylindrical metal frame body (31) covering side-surfaces of the wood member and is configured to axially receive a compression load caused by impact in the event of a collision in an axial direction of wood member. In one embodiment, the frame body (31) has a square cylindrical shape. A ratio of an outer side in a hollow square cross-sectional surface of the frame body (31) to a thickness of the frame body is set to a range of 9-12.
