The invention relates a headrest for a vehicle seat comprising a backrest (2) configured to cover the rear face of the seat, the headrest comprising an alms pocket (1) with an external wall (11) defining a volume between the wall and the backrest, the upper edge (112) providing access to the pocket volume opening, characterized in that the headrest also comprises a reinforcement mechanism which comprises: - a reinforcement element (3) along the upper edge of the external wall, - a pair of connection elements (4) with a junction interface (43) which cooperates with an end (34) of the reinforcement element and a fixing interface (42) to cooperate with a structural element (21) of the seat, the headrest also comprising a pair of openings (13) passing through its thickness, positioned at the ends of the pocket and traversed by the reinforcement element and/or the connection element.
