Device and method for passing a strap over a load

A device (10) is provided for passing a strap over a high load (50). The device comprises an articulated arm operable in a first, extended configuration, in which an operator can hold one end of the arm (11) and raise the free end of the arm (12) remote from the operator to the top of the load, and a second, articulated configuration, in which the free end of the arm can be moved across the top of the load (50), beyond the load on the side remote, in use, from the operator.
