The battery has a safety housing that is accessible from the outside, which is accessible for establishing a reliable electrical contact between two electrical terminals (410, 420) of the battery and two electrical terminals (310, 320) of a fuse (300). The battery is characterized in that the safety housing comprises a movable cover (200) which in a first position closes the safety housing, in a second position makes accessible precisely one of the two electrical terminals (410, 420) of the battery and in a third position makes accessible precisely the other of the two electrical terminals (410, 420) of the battery. The electrical contact between fuse (300) and battery can thus only be established sequentially. The simultaneous contacting of the two terminals (410, 420) of the battery by a user is effectively prevented and the user is protected.",
