The invention relates to a drive system with an internal combustion engine (1), which drives a hydraulic system (5) and/or which has a control device that controls the internal combustion engine (1) such that it operates at a constant target rotational speed during transient load torque. According to the invention, the drive system comprises a flywheel accumulator (8), wherein the flywheel accumulator (8) is connected to the output shaft (2) of the internal combustion engine (1) via a transmission (7).
