Housing of a radial compressor

According to the invention, the two-stage supercharging unit consists of a housing unit (2) which integrates the high-pressure charger (2..) and the low-pressure charger (1..) within itself. The rotor axes of both chargers are oriented vertically to the housing unit (2), which can be bolted laterally directly onto the engine block (25) of an internal combustion engine. With this installation concept, increased flexibility is made possible for the connection of the supercharging unit to the coolers as well as to the internal combustion engine, whereby the installation volume of the supercharging group can be further reduced.
