The present invention discloses an uninterruptible power supply system and an uninterruptible power supply method, relating to the field of battery power supply. The system includes a load, an active battery power supply system and a standby battery power supply system, where the active battery power supply system includes an active battery pack and a first control system, and the standby battery power supply system includes a standby battery pack and a second control system. The first control system and the second control system form interlocking control. The active battery power supply system and the standby battery power supply system supply power to the load. In the present invention, the first control system in the active battery power supply system and the second control system in the standby battery power supply system are set as an interlocking control structure; therefore, when the active battery power supply system operates, the standby battery power supply system does not operate, and when the standby battery power supply system operates, the active battery power supply system is not charged. The phenomenon of mutual charging and discharging does not occur between the active battery pack and the standby battery pack, and the problem of inter-pack cross current when battery packs are used in parallel is avoided.
