LOAD DETECTION DEVICE

In order to provide a load detection device for improving the accuracy in detecting occupant's weight by a construction being simple and low in cost, the load detection device taking a film shape comprises at least three detection sections contacting a seating side surface of a vehicle seat pad member for detecting a load on the pad member; and a connection section connecting the detection sections, wherein there is provided a tail section that is connected to the connection section within a sensing area surrounded by the at least three detection sections, that is bent downward within the sensing area to extend downward from a seating surface of the seat pad member, and that has at a lower end a lead portion for delivering load signals detected by the detection sections.
