There are provided a coast stop controlling means (step S2) configured to stop an engine during a running of vehicle when a predetermined condition is satisfied; a deceleration detecting means (step S4) configured to detect a deceleration level of the vehicle; and an engine-stop time limiting means (step S7) configured to limit a time length for which the coast stop controlling means (step S2) keeps the engine in a stopped state if the deceleration level is smaller than or equal to a predetermined value. Accordingly, a reduction of battery voltage can be suppressed when a driver manipulates a steering wheel during a slowly-decelerating running of the vehicle.
