In a battery pack for an electric vehicle, since a cooling air suction port (48a) of a suction duct (48) that sucks cooling air into a cooling passage formed in an interior of a battery case (24) is disposed between a vehicle compartment (25) and the battery case (24) beneath the vehicle compartment (25), the cooling air suction port (48a) can be disposed at a relatively high position, and due to it being covered by the battery case (24) and the vehicle compartment (25), it can be made difficult for dirt or water splashed up from below by a wheel or dirt or water falling from above to be sucked from the cooling air suction port (48a) into the battery case (24). Moreover, since the cooling air suction port (48a) of the suction duct (48) opens so as to face toward the front of the vehicle body and a cooling air discharge port (49a) of a discharge duct (49) opens so as to face toward the rear of the vehicle body, it is possible to prevent the cooling efficiency of the battery (42) from being degraded due to recirculation of cooling air.
