Jelly-roll type electrode assembly and manufacturing method thereof

The present invention refers to a method of manufacturing an electrode assembly for a secondary battery as well as to the electrode assembly produced by the method. The method comprises the steps of: i) forming a jelly-roll by sequentially stacking and winding a positive electrode plate, a separator having a polymer binder coating thereon, and a negative electrode plate; and ii) pressing the jelly-roll through a heat press process.
