A cover material fastening cord (8) for fastening a cover material (2) to a cushion material (1) via a clip (10) includes: an elongated tape portion (6) whose first rim (6A) is connected to the cover material (2) and whose second rim (6B) is connected to the clip (10); a plurality of block portions (7) that are provided on a surface of the tape portion (6) and has a thickness capable of being held by the clip (10) in a thickness direction of the tape portion (6); and a flexible joint portion (71) provided on the surface of the tape portion (6), the joint portion connecting adjacent ones of the block portions (7).
