Vehicle with a pivoting loading surface

The transport vehicle (1) has a loading area (2) that is pivoted between a horizontal transport position and an inclined unloading position about a horizontal pivot axis (10). The pivot axis is positioned at the rear of the transport vehicle behind a rear axle (6) at a distance (a) to the bottom (13) which is less than the diameter of a rear wheel. The loading area is limited to the rear area by a pivoting movable tailgate (12). The loading area includes an obtuse angle in the transport position and a positionable flush in the unloading position.
