Method for producing a vehicle stabiliser

The method involves providing a steel tape made from a high-manganese steel alloy, where the steel tape has twinning induced plasticity- or transformation induced plasticity properties. A tube profile is formed from the steel tape and longitudinal seam welding of the tube profile. A stabilizer bar is bend and is processed into an automotive stabilizer. The longitudinal seam welding is executed as high-frequency welding or as laser welding.
