The central wire 1222 includes at least one metallic strand defining a radially outermost surface 1222a of the central wire. The outer case 1226 surrounds at least a portion of an axial length of the central wire 1222. The outer case has a radially innermost surface 1226a. The radial protrusion 1224 spirally extends along the radially innermost surface 1226a of the outer case in a direction intersecting with a center longitudinal axis of the bicycle control cable. The radial protrusion 1224 reduces a sliding resistance of the central wire 1222 relative to the outer case 1226. The central wire 1222 is configured and arranged to slidably move in an axial direction with respect to the center longitudinal axis of the bicycle control cable 1212 within the outer case 1226 to operate a bicycle component.
