An ECU executes a program including: a step (S106) of executing start control of an engine (10) when a stop operation of the engine is in execution (YES in S100), when a restart request is made (YES in S102) and when an engine rotation speed is outside a predetermined range (YES in S104); and a step (S108) of continuing the stop operation of the engine (10) when the restart request is not made (NO in S102) or when the engine rotation speed is within the predetermined range (NO in S104).
