The covering (10) has a tubular section comprising a reinforcement bore (6) for manufacturing a piping connection, where the covering is made from natural or plastic fiber. Strip-shaped two-layer transition areas (11, 12) compensate stresses, and comprise a strip-shaped two-layer intermediate zone. Breadth of the intermediate zone is selected such that the intermediate zone projects above a piping retainer or a piping rail during manufacturing of piping connection. A strip-shaped end area (14) projects out of the piping retainer or the piping rail in an inserted condition.
