Trim with airbag cover and method for manufacturing a trim part

The trim structure has a carrier (2) and a haptics layer (3) that is weakened along a tear line (4) that delimits the airbag cover. A decor layer (5) of leather covers the carrier and the haptics layer. A reinforcement layer (6) is arranged between the haptics layer and the decor layer. The decor layer and reinforcement layer extend over region (7). A surface decor is arranged over the carrier and the haptics layer. A ply (9) has thickness which corresponds to thickness of a composite (10) that is formed from decor layer and reinforcement layer. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing trim structure.
