The method involves radiating output light distribution (10) from lamp (6). A driver assistance system (4) is operated for guiding vehicle (1) on track. The driver assistance system has sensor (3) that measures measurement signals for controlling operation of vehicle on road surface. A quality of measurement signals is based on weather condition around the vehicle. An output of light distribution is changed, while the quality of measurement signals controlling the operation of vehicle is below threshold value. An independent claim is included for a device for controlling light distribution of lamp in vehicle.
