Source
The electrode (40,50) comprises an electrically conductive, porous and mechanically stable layer and a catalytically active layer. The electrically conductive, porous and mechanically stable layer is electrically conductive within a temperature range of 10-300 [deg] C. The stable layer is comprised of one of the materials including tantalum, titanium, platinum, palladium, gold and alloys and/or high-alloy steels with high chromium and molybdenum contents. The stable layer is comprised of a framework geometry with a tubular and bellows-shape and a polygonal cross sectional area. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing an electrode; and (2) a fuel cell.
