The battery (100) has a storage unit (102) that is arranged for storage of electric power. A connection unit such as male part (106), is arranged for providing electrical and removable connection of the storage unit to an external device e.g. data processing management apparatus, for charging/discharging the storage unit. A communication unit such as infra-red module (114) is arranged for communication of a digital data relative to the battery to the external device when the battery is in charging or discharging state according to a communication protocol. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a support (2) a mobile data processing system (3) an installation for management of a set of rechargeable batteries.
