The present invention provides a rubber composition exhibiting good workability and suitable for use in an inner liner of a tire. Specifically, the present invention provides a rubber composition, comprising: a rubber component; an inorganic filler having an aspect ratio of 2 to 200; and optionally at least one of carbon black and a metal salt of aliphatic acid, wherein contents of the inorganic filler, the carbon black and the metal salt of aliphatic acid satisfy following formula (1): C ¥ 0.016 × A - 0.5 × B - 1.18 In formula (1), "A" represents a content (parts by mass) of the inorganic filler with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, "B" represents a content (parts by mass) of the carbon black with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and "C" represents a content (parts by mass) of the metal salt of aliphatic acid with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
