Cylinder-piston assembly operated with a closed-circuit working gas

The component has a piston i.e. ceramic piston, where an outer surface of a piston portion (8) made of thermal ceramic material partly forms a seal and a guide surface at a sealing body (10). A heated cylinder chamber (4) faces an axial piston section (7) made of thermally-insulating ceramic material, and the piston portion is arranged downstream of the sealing body. A thermal depth stage is determined by temperature of a cold cylinder space (5), where component is made of thermal ceramic material such as silicon carbide or aluminum nitride. An independent claim is also included for a stirling engine.
