The invention relates to a composite article comprising: - an item 2 to be attached to a substrate; and - an adhesive tape 3 for attaching the item to the substrate, the adhesive tape having a substantially flat shape with a first main surface 6 facing the item, the first main surface extending in a cross section perpendicular to the first main surface from a first edge 8 to a second edge 9; - a lamination region 11 on the first surface, wherein the lamination region is the region where the adhesive tape is laminated to the item; and - wherein the lamination region is smaller than the first main surface.
