Method and system for providing dynamic driving instructions with a navigation system

A navigation method and system are disclosed whereby users of the system (110) are provided with dynamic driving instructions. On the end user's mobile computing device (130), upon requesting (312) data for providing dynamic driving instructions for traveling to a destination from a remotely located navigation services provider (128), corresponding dynamic driving instructions data (332) are obtained (340) that represent dynamic driving instructions (336) comprising several maneuvering instructions along the route. These dynamic driving instructions data are stored locally, and from the local storage, at appropriate times and locations along the route, a maneuvering instruction of the dynamic driving instructions is provided to the user.
