Method and device for minimizing the energy consumption of vehicles

A method and a device (D) minimize the energy consumption of a vehicle (R) by optimizing an applied driving pattern, whereby a calculator means (1) identifies an optimal resulting driving pattern for controlling the vehicle (R) resulting in minimal energy consumption. Especially the energy consumption of track (T) or road guided vehicles (R) can be accordingly reduced. Moreover storage means (3) for storing resulting driving patterns and a control means (5) for controlling the vehicle (R) can be implemented.
