The control device (10) has electronic device (12) that receives information (14) with respect to engine brake torque (Bm) for receiving/detecting electric motor of regenerative braking system. Information (16) concerning target brake torque (Bsoll) is received from driver of vehicle, by operation of brake pedal. A brake system component (18) is exercised to control brake pedal counteracting force (Fg), by considering received information, in such way that tactile feedback is outputted to brake pedal due to brake pedal counteracting force exceeding engine brake torque. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a brake pedal; (2) a regenerative brake system; and (3) a method for operating regenerative brake system of vehicle.
