The threaded rod (22) has a head supported by a support (24), which is secured to a stationary divergent portion (10). The divergent portion is connected with an electric motor (30). A tip is inserted in a holder sleeve (34) that is secured to the divergent portion. The tip provides an enlargement portion formed with a groove that is axially passed through the rod that is connected with a nut. The nut is secured to a movable divergent portion (20), so that rotation of rod causes movement of the movable divergent portion. The enlargement portion has radial branches separated by grooves. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for deploying a divergent segment (2) a deployable divergent segment of a thruster.
