Method for topology detection in a low voltage network

The method involves requesting selected decentralized units (Z1-Z8) e.g. counters, by a central unit (ZE) e.g. data node, by a command message. A consumer and/or a generator is associated to the decentralized units. An identification with predefined transmitting powers (S1-S3) is transmitted as an identification message of the decentralized units. The transmitted identification message of the decentralized units is temporary stored. The identification message with the predefined transmitting powers is received. The stored identification message is queried and analyzed by the central unit.
