The control apparatus includes a limp-home-running control portion configured, in event of a failure of the engine, to cause the vehicle to perform a limp-home running, by operating the electric motor with a power supplied from a power storage device. The limp-home-running control portion is configured, when causing the vehicle to perform the limp-home running, to restrict shifting of the automatic transmission for changing the gear positions of the automatic transmission.",
