Drive for a seat adjusting device for motor vehicles

The drive device has a spindle (5) that is fastened on a first rail. A transmission unit is driven by a motor mounted on second rail. A mounting unit (60) is provided with a first area (A) with a fastener holes (64a,64b) and with a second area (B) that is offset upward with respect to first area for holding one end of spindle. The first and second areas are connected to form a single portion by a transition area (C). The second area is designed with a slot (81) with legs (82a,82b) arranged opposite to each other. The slot is fixed with end of spindle.
