The method involves depositing an ink generating circular coffee ring structures (114) comprising a bead at the periphery, on a printing surface (8). The printing surface is an electrolytic membrane and a gas diffusion layer of the fuel cell. The ink drops are expelled towards the printing surface through a printing nozzle with an opening with a diameter in the range between 10 and 100 mu m towards the printing surface. The deposited drops is dried at a temperature greater than or equal to 40 [deg] C. The drying process is repeated iteratively. An independent claim is included for a catalytic layer for fuel cell, has a circular structure that is provided with a bead at the periphery. The external diameter of circular structure is smaller than 1 mm in the range between 20 and 200 mu m. The external diameter of circular structures is equal to 50 micrometers. The width of the beads of the structures is represented from 5 to 20% of the external diameter of the structures. The structures are spaced apart from one another by a distance greater than or equal to 10 micrometers.
