Filter

The filter (10) has a filter element (30) comprising an annularly closed star-shaped folded filter medium. A tangential intake connecting piece (22) is arranged in a cylindrical exterior wall (21). An annular, coaxial flow guidance wall (23) projects into a hollow cylindrical filter housing (20) and encloses the filter element. An annular flow space (24) is formed between the cylindrical exterior wall and the flow guidance wall. The connecting piece comprises a projection (25) that projects into a portion of the flow space and bridges the flow space up to the flow guidance wall.
