A method of determining a status of a brake actuator (70) of a brake assembly (40) includes sensing one or more activations of the brake actuator (70), storing the one or more activations in a computer memory (116), sensing a parameter associated with the one or more activations, storing the parameter in the computer memory (116), and determining a status of the brake actuator (70) based on the magnitude of the parameter.
