An aircraft wheel with a universal drive dog
DRIVE
April 2, 2014
The wheel (1) has a rim (2) intended to receive a tire, and a hub connected to the rim for receiving bearings for guiding the wheel in rotation about a rotation axis (X) on an axle of an aircraft. Three dogs (10) project laterally from the rim such that each dog presents two parallel faces. Each dog is pierced by an orifice extending from one face to the other face along an orthoradial direction (Y), where the dogs are circumferentially spaced apart at 120 degrees from one another. An independent claim is also included for a method for driving an aircraft wheel.
