HOUSING FOR AN AIR CONDITIONER, IN PARTICULAR FOR A VEHICLE.

The air conditioning housing (1) has a housing-sided inlet- or outlet opening (3) for air, where a valve element is arranged in a wall (6) of the housing. The valve element is formed, so that it closes an additional air opening (8) in a defined normal operating condition. The additional air opening is provided for the inlet- or outlet opening. The valve element is formed as a partially elastically formed cover- or shield valve (7). An independent claim is included for a method for operating a heating- or air conditioning system of vehicles.
