Enhanced gas power plant for storing energy

The method involves operating a generator (14) as motor, so that a heated gas stream (16) is emitted from a gas turbine (10). The thermal conditioning of water in a water vapor circuit (20) is performed over a first heat exchanger (25) by heated gas stream. The thermal conditioned water is stocked in a vapor storage (40). A steam turbine (50) having water vapor removed from the vapor storage is operated. The water vapor is discharged according to interaction with the steam turbine into a vapor space (60) for condensation. The condensed water in condensate storage (70) is collected. An independent claim is included for gas-fired power station.
