Pneumatic suspension system for a rail vehicle
DRIVE
March 5, 2014
The pneumatic spring system (1) comprises a body and a bogie, which is serving as chassis. A pneumatic spring with air volume in a pressure chamber (2) is formed in a bellows (5), which is arranged between a pneumatic spring cover (3) and a chassis-side rim (4). An auxiliary volume (6) is interconnected with the pressure chamber and is formed in the pneumatic spring cover. A unit is disposed below the air spring and an additional spring (7) made of elastomeric material, particularly rubber. An emergency spring is formed in the form of a stop buffer made of elastomeric material.
