Electromechanical parking brake for vehicle trailers

The parking brake has a spring storage unit (13) with a spring (14), and a mechanical power transmission unit (3) for transmitting the spring force to a wheel brake. The parking brake has an electromagnetic clamping unit (21) with an electric motor (22) for clamping the spring storage unit. An electrically actuated locking unit (29) holds the power transmission element in a locking position during the supply of current. The power transmission element is coupled with the spring storage unit.
