Turbomachine comprising a rotor and a casing

The machine i.e. steam turbine (1), has a rotor (3) rotatably supported around a rotational axis (2) and comprising moving blades. A housing is arranged around the rotor and comprises guide vanes and two bearings (13, 14) for supporting the rotor. One of the bearings is arranged in front of a final moving blade stage (7) in a flow direction and comprises a bearing housing (17) and a carrier (19) that is designed as the guide vanes. A diffuser (20) is arranged after the final moving blade stage in the flow direction. The rotor is supported on a base (12) over the bearings.
