CHARGING APPARATUS

A charging apparatus 1 includes a power receiving unit 70 that includes a rectifier 5, receives AC power 2, and converts the AC power 2 into DC power, a power storage device 7 that has DC power stored therein, a DC/DC converter 6 that can execute a bidirectional power-flow control including a control of charging to the power storage device 7 and a control of discharging from the power storage device 7 using an output of the rectifier 5, and a control unit 10 that controls operations of the power receiving unit 70 and the DC/DC converter 6. In the charging apparatus 1, an output voltage of the rectifier 5 is set different from an output voltage of the DC/DC converter 6 that is applied to an output terminal of the rectifier 5 when the power storage device 7 is discharged.
