The vehicle surrounding monitoring apparatus displays the surrounding image by the displaying device when the own vehicle has approached a traffic intersection, and a displaying condition becomes satisfied. The displaying condition corresponds to a condition that a field-of-view value is equal to or smaller than a predetermined field-of-view value. The field-of-view value corresponds to a value which represents a field of view from the own vehicle to the traffic intersection.",
